Cleaning up rusty rims

I've got some old 16.5 Jackmans that were sitting in a guys yard for a decade or better. I used those purple bristle roloc discs on an angled die grinder. It cleaned them up pretty easily and was able to feather the edges of the remaining paint/powder coat. It takes almost a full disc to do each wheel.

I had a set of Jackman's too. They came on my '76 pickup I had a long time ago. I got aluminum rims and took the tires off of them. The rims sat around my yard for a few years then I threw them away. Felt pretty dumb last year when I needed a spare rim and had none! :doah::doah::doah:
