Clear coat fix

Metallics always photo weird
It is definitely blue, not green
Certainly the grey and metallic added.
But it is a very uncommon color
Most of the reason I’m trying to save it

The slightly more common gunmetal gray was definitely more gray and I don't think it ever made it to the Camaro. I can't really tell them apart unless they're next to each other but I'm partially color blind. Somewhere I have a whole book about the 93 Camaro from when my Dad worked on them back in the day before he went back to Lansing to work on the Sunfire (my Dad did a lot of work on the ragtops and landaus back in the day).

been looking online at pictures
Says WA U9795, can honestly say it doesn't look at all like some of the paint code squashes out there for it
Apparently other people trying to remix this color of the code missed it by a ways
the rear pass fender was smacked right after we got it, but the repair matched

Window tag I thought it said gun barrel, maybe it was gun metal. Doesn't look grey

heres the only picture I found online that looks to be the same

I was looking at pictures online to post here as examples. I gave up because none of them really looked like the paint color in actual real life.

But the color was introduced (at least for the Camaro) in mid year '92. In high school, there was a dude with a '92 RS in that color.

Had a 96 Impala SS in DGGM. Had to describe the color to some police once and it wasn't easy, changing with the lighting. Loved that car. Until someone sideswiped it at a stoplight and totaled it.
