just got a 76 sub with a 6" spring lift (so i was told) and 35's, warn hubs and a 350/350/203. i dont know if it has the conversion in the tc, even though it will drive with the hubs unlocked no matter what the case is in. the problem is that every time i lock the hubs in, it clicks when i drive. (really bad on the road) it used to have mm hubs, changed them cause the spring was broke on the drivers side. but that wasnt it. pulled the diff cover, but the problem wasnt their. found a bad passenger side u-joint, but that wasnt the problem. it has a new front drive shaft, and im getting frustrated cause i cant find the problem. it seems to click more when im climbing or tension builds in the drive train. if im on soft surfaces like sand or loose dirt or mud, it doesnt click. please help. this is my first 4x4 so im a newb to the whole transfercase thing, but built many cars. please help!!

only for about a 100 ft or so. trying to figure out what the noise is. i would never drive on dry pavement in 4wd for longer. it even clicks on dirt. the harder the dirt, the more it clicks. and it clicks like crazy when i climb hills.

Was the front driveshaft CV clearenced when the lift was installed? Look for contact points in there.

i will take a look when i get home tonight. what am i looking for? it looks like it has enough room, but i only glanced.
