I just installed the SYE in my 241 and then put the clocking ring on, went to put it in and the ring I got from greatlake wont allow me to tuck it under the frame rails so now I have to drill and tap 6 new holes in the ring 1/4in off the other holes. Has any1 else had to do this?????? Or do some people get it as close as they can and call it good?

Here is my clocking before and after. Barely hangs down below.

that looks really good!! but my goal is to have a skid plate bolt directly to the frame.

I'm having the same problem right now. I've yet to decided what i'm going to do. What are you going to do about your drive shaft? Even with mine in the lowest position on the ring the CV bottoms out and the shaft is to short.

i didn't get mine from greatlakes, got it from DP, mine hung down like 1/2" with the stock crossmember. i pushed it up with a different crossmember so it didn't hang down.

I lifted my whole transmission up 3/4" so it's flat underneath.

My front driveshaft is 40" long with 4" of lift. I run out of slip before the CV binds.
