I am hoping to clock the 205 up but the double cardan will hit the corner of the trans. As it rotates up it will rotate away slightly and I can cut a tiny bit of the corner of the trans and pan off.
Not sure if it's worth spending the money on the clocking ring and cable shifters if it may not work out in the end.IMG_20251210_180254343.jpgIMG_20251210_180149651.jpg
Anyone ever successful in this situation?

Are you going for flat? A clocking ring normally gives you some choices. DIY4x had 3-4 IIRC

And noted, I guess a 205 from input to output is longer than a 241 as mine just clears my 700r4 flat.

Are cables necessary with a 205?

The only clocking ring I can get for the figure eight 205 only has two up positions. 2.5" or 4.5" up I think. Ideally I would like to make it flat but would take anything I can get.
The cables aren't completely necessary but would make it a lot easier than figuring out new shifters

Might be able to reach out and ask them to make a "center" 3 inch location. :dunno: I think eventually DIY4x stopped offering all the locations for the round pattern, but was on request.

Outside of that, I don't think there are any tricks with trying to make it work. (Smaller CV?)
