also earlier i went through a flooded street a couple of times???

Get under your rig and grab the driveshaft and try to twist it/wiggle it every whch way you can, look at the u-joints for any play between the ctoss and the caps. Tat'll tell you if it's your u-joints or not.

if its not the u joints any idea what it could be????......it only does it when u let off the gas and start to slow down.....and right now its pooring out:eek1: :eek1:

heres how you do it...

1. set the ebrake
2. put tcase in neutral
3. shake d shaft around the yoke, look for slop in the u joint, then repeat for the one by the t case.

ok thanks....i`ll have to wait for the rain to stop a little or something....my truck is on the sidewalk across the street so its gonna be a little tough....if it isn`t the ujoint what could it be???

do i have to put the tranny in N too or just the tcase

ok i finally grew some balls and went outside and checked the u joint...well i shook both the ones at the rear end and t case and they didnt budge a bit...i couldnt get the tcase in N because i didnt want to pull really hard....so we think its coming from the rear end itself...my buddy said that he could here it was coming from there when i was driving on the other side of the street...NOW WHAT??? anyone in the area have a 14bff laying around?

I saw your earlier post, and I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the rain to stop, from what I understand it is pouring wicked bad up their.

No need to flame me but what the problem turned out to be was a seriously loose rim with 4 lug nuts about to fall off. Never thought to check that. Are they known to loosen up on aluminum rims like that or did someone loosen them up on me? Again no need to flame the NOOB:D :D :D

Are you usingthe right lug nuts? From what I've read, aluminum wheels use different lugnuts than steelies.

Or, could've been a brain fart. Maybe last time you put that wheel on, you spun on all the lugnuts and forgot to torque them down. I did that once.

thats a possibility....honestly i dont torque them i just use the t bar and go as tight as i can...
