Clutch adjustment

Okay new to this hope I'm posting in the place.
I have a 1980 K5 Blazer with a 3 speed manual transmission.
Just got the Blazer running today but will not move. The clutch has a lot of play for the first 5 to 6 inches. Then the last 3 inches gets stronger to push. How do I adjust the clutch.

take the tension spring off the clutch fork at the bell housing and wiggle the fork. @1/8" wiggle is good reinstall the spring
