Can anyone tell me the size of the nuts and the steel line that is used for a 1985 Chevy truck hydro line that runs from the master cylinder to the slave? I need to make a custom line but I can't find out this info. TIA.

I feel bad for you, not at home to look at what I have.

The only thing I can suggest is calling Napa or someone similar, and going down and looking at what they have for stock stuff. They should have the master, slave and line on hand.

I tried every where but NAPA. I took it to ever place in the 3 towns that are around me and came up with nothing. I will try them but I am not going to get my hopes up.:frown1:

I guess I'm kind of spoiled I've got a Napa distribution center near me, so just about anything Napa carries they have. They even have rebuild kits for the masters and slaves. Good luck.

I will get you the info on the one I'm using on my K20 as soon as I get home tonight. It is still off the truck so it will be easy to get the info. My setup is off an 89 1 ton 2wd old body style so I would be pretty confident it will be the same as an 84.

That is ok my dad and I have found a way around it. My dad took it to a welding shop that said that it was 6MM line and that they could take a 1/4 in. line and swell it to fit over it. Then weld it up.

Glad it worked for ya. Measured before I saw your post. The fittings on mine are for a 1/2" wrench and the metal line is 1/4" od and has some 1/2" od rubber line.
