I’m in the market for a clutch kit and flywheel for my sm465. I’m looking at the LUK clutch kit because of price and I’ve heard good things. My two questions are 1: is there any reason the luk one isn’t a good idea?
2: what flywheel do you recommend?
This is for a daily driver. Once I decided on a good flywheel I want to see how much it costs to get my old one resurfaced and compare the prices. My current one is covered in rust. Thanks in advance!

do not get a 3 or 4 finger pressure plate setup if you have a hydro clutch 85-91 style .

i found out years ago the hard way . . . :doah: the hydro clutch fork is bent different than mech clutch and hits the taller pressure plate that comes with the 3/4 finger style and makes a crazy racket like the starter is bound up and stuck on .

I have linkage style clutch and I’m getting a diaphragm style pressure plate anyway.

I found a LUK flywheel for 70 bucks. I’ll probably run that. Last I checked getting the flywheel resurfaced was close to $100 bucks.
