I got a manual clutch linkage, ive always known that sometime it would come apart while wheeling b/c of the frame and everything flexing. Well I drove up a tree, flexing like crazy and pop, my clutch went out. Well I go to check, thinking the linkage came apart, but the damn fork came off the throwout bearing!?!?! Is that normal, is that what everyone is always talking about with the manual clutch linkages coming apart?

Also is it possible to get the fork back on the throwout bearing without pulling the tranny off? Ive tried doing it when I was installing the tranny but I was never able to get it on right.

I've had my z-bar fall out 4-5 times. That's either from frame flex (maybe), drivetrain flex (I switched to poly mounts and still have the problem), something on my truck has moved (it looks like the z-bar is barely long enough just sitting there) or it's a design flaw.

Some people don't have the spring holding the pushrod tight. Without the spring the pushrod will fall out easily.

If you haven't taken the linkage apart yet, do that. Get the fork freed up and get everything out of the way, you might be able to fish it back in there right. The linkage probably just bound up and pulled on the fork a bit. I've had the zbar fall out as well, I'll be going with homemade hydro soon. Good luck.

alright sweet thats what i was hoping to hear, hopefully ill be able to get it back on with out pulling everything. Yeah i bought a hydro setup, im going to get that on in a month or so but it would be nice to have it running now
