I'm swapping in a SM465 in my 85' Blazer, the tranny is out of a 78'. Question is that i am going to put hydraulic clutch instead of mechanical in it, but which clutch set (pressure plate, disc, throw out) should i get? A 78'set up for mechanical or a 88' set up for a hydraulic? Does it matter? Do i need to change out the Bellhousing? Or can i keep the one for the 78'?

It depends on the hydraulic ram you use and how it mounts. Some of the kits use existing holes in the bell housing with brackets and the stock fork, some use a specific bell housing and fork.
