I have a K5 with a 454, that I'm swapping a 4-spd into. is an 11" clutch big enough for this application, or do I really need to go with a 12"? I'm asking because I already have a brand new centerforce dual friction cltuch, that I was gonna use in my chevelle, and it's an eleven inch. but that project is on hold right now, til I get some things done to my blazer and free up some shop space...and money. so I was just wondering if I could use this clutch in the blazer. what are the rest of you running? anyone running an 11", and have any problems with it?

As for me, I'd go with a 12" Luk. Seen a lot of failed centerforces, but some people have luck with them. On the other hand, I don't think I've ever heard anything bad about luk. That's what I put behind the 454 in my crew cab, and it's done a lot of heavy towing and has been a very good clutch. But if you already had the 11" centerforce....IDK. I might see what I could sell it for.

If the 11" is made for a 153-tooth flywheel, it will not fit a 168-tooth flywheel.

IMO go 12" on the 168-tooth flywheel. May as well max it out.

What I've seen of centerforce II's (OE-type disc with some different friction pads) I'd rather have something from McLeod or Ram where they make their own disc
