(Clutch Slave Hose On '99 S10)
A friend of mine can't get the junction of the clutch slave off his transmission that has ta be rebuilt. Can the hard plastic pipe be cut? He jammed a sleeve thingy into the space, and the connection won't separate. This is right at the trans. No pix, sorry. GM wants $125 for a new slave and hose.

You have to press a small pin out right at the connection and it'll drop right off. Don't cut the hose unless you want to buy a new one.

A pair of pliars and a small enough screw to press the pin works pretty good. But I'll warn you, I've removed the hose 6 times and busted a knuckle all 6 times. Wear gloves!

At the trans there is a special sleeve to release, and my friend jammed the wrong sleeve/remover into it, futz'd around prying it off, and eventually ripped the slave outta' the trans.

I think those hoses are warmed slightly, then they shrink around da barb. The release part requires the right tool, or ELSE! Ug
