Clutches ?

over the counter 120 clutch kit 11" . fresh cut flywheel. no problems in truck. 1ton 4.10 35" tires tbi feed 350 . i use it for daily drivin/plow 8ft wide/recovery of others/offroad. and i am not nice to it. still goin.

if you have hydro clutch do not use 3 finger pressure plate style. it will not clear the clutch fork. i found out the hard way. had to remove tranny/tcase 2 times. :doah:

I have a 12" Centerforce II in mine and its awesome. Way better than the stock clutch in every possible way.

Luk makes a really good clutch too, and they are about half the cost.

The 11" and 12" clutches use the same flywheel IIRC, I would use the 12" clutch.

Not sure but i went to Napa and just bought w/e they had :doah:

Seems to work just fine for me

depends on the application lol dual centerforce, ACT id say are some of the best LUK clutches ive always had problems with the ex's truck would constantly blow up LUK clutch friction plates and throw out bearings so id stay away from those personally...:doah:

Is this typical? I'm converting to hydro and my clutch is a 3 finger McLeod that I really want to use.

i bought the 12 inch napa to replace whatever the p.o. had in there.its been good for a few years now.no problems.i believe they said that it was a luk clutch.had the flywheel reserfaced and that was it.
