UPDATE: I just purchased a 700R4 & a mated 208 to go with this. Several people wanted it running. So, I'll take $1500 without the t-case/tranny installed (but included) and $1700 installed. (The guy wants $200 to install.) If I can get some help installing it in Colorado Springs, installation will be free as I won't charge if I don't pay /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Okay, it's missing a few things, but I still think it is worth something.

83 Chevy K5
6.2 Diesel
Has a 700R4 that is toast.
T-Case was 208, but does not go.

Body is straight.
Does not have a door key.

I have been asking $1000, but will consider less or possible trade.

I am looking for the following items:
250 Quad (or so)
Nice 16x8 8-lug wheels
7.5' Snow plow with controls
ORD Classic bumper w/ Tire carrier
Damn near anything!!

My wife wants this out of the driveway. It's STILL parked in her spot!!!

I can be reached/voicemailed @ 719-321-8506. I am located in Colorado Springs.

I had it running this past weekend. However, since then I have run into a small problem. I removede the horn to put in my 84K5 and now I can't get the key to turn the ignition. Otherwise I would move it out of my driveway. Any ideas?

You mean you removed the horn button and switch from the steering wheel? It's been awhile since I had one apart but I don't remember that that would affect the ign switch. Can you put a bad one back in?

How is the interior? So it will still move a litle under its own power?

Not quite. My 84K5 didn't have a horn, so I took the one from the 83. Not sure why the ignition won't turn. I even had a mechanic friend look at it & it doens't make any sense. GOT THIS TO WORK. DON'T KNOW WHY IT DIDN'T!!!

As far as interior, it is kinda rough. up front. The back is in pretty good shape, but the front has seen many more miles. As will most older Chevy's the dash is cracked pretty god too.

It will not move on it's own power due to the tranny being shot & the t-case being absent /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If it's not sold in a week or two, thw engine will be up for sale. I'm gonna keep some parts and salvage the rest.

this might sound stupid and all and you probably have but did you try yanking back and forth on the steering wheel mine locks up like that alot ( my 2 cents)
