20 lbs, 8” diameter bottle

Anything interesting / creative out there? I’ve seen the typical Power Tank, Smittybilt, etc mounts which are all about $100+, any neat diy tricks or parts?

I keep my 10 pound tank in a tank mount that's bolted to the fender well, and my second tank is where I get creative... 20 pound tank ratchet strapped to the cage by the tailgate.

I'll eventually just buy another mount, it's nice and convenient in my opinion.

I really like the mounts offered but dang they’re expensive.

We used a length of 8" stove pipe with a cap brazed on one end to hold the fire extinguisher at the junkyard's garage...the pipe was about 6" shorter that the extinguisher...just screwed the pipe to the wall, and dropped it in..we had several all around the building..
Might not be ideal for a mobile application but it worked good for the building..

Damn, hit wrong button and lost the post. You can use propane tank straps to secure a tank, just cut the strap to the right length. The locking style is what I have, but the hasp is kind of flimsy and deforms with use. The nut/bolt style would probably hold up better. You can't remove the bottle with the strap on it.
