coaxial speakers???

Ok... what are coaxial speakers? heard stuff about them but am look at new speakers soon... so was considering them

Coaxial speakers mean the woofer and the tweeter are in one unit. The woofer has a pole in the middle with a second speaker(the tweeter) attached to it.
 
Coaxial just means one speaker is instead of the other..it isn't always a sub.. my clarions are coaxials but are only 5.25"s with a 3/4" tweet, they also have the option of taking the tweeter out and mounting them seperatly.
