Is there any place on this forum where you crusty old roadies have defined the shorthand - code - abbreviations you use when talking about your builds. I'm sure, given enough time, I will figure it out, but I'm not getting any younger. Us NuBees need some coaching.

Here is one for a start.

I can think of a few commonly used here. We could all add ones we know, or ask about ones we don't...

FF...Full Floater.
SF...Semi-Floater

D in D44 or D60 is Dana a manufacturing company used by the Big 3 and some imports.

ORD...Off-Road Design. A company that manufactures parts for our beloved square body rigs.

Powr lok is a Dana Spicer clutch & ramp type posi (it's in the D44)
ARB is a brand of air locker
52s and 58" springs front - rear

powr-lock and ARB are both traction aids. The ARB is an air actuated selectable locker.

Jimmy is the GMC equivalent to the Blazer
38.5 SX's are a tire brand and size. Super Swamper TSL-SX 38.5" tall
4 in lift is obvious
4.56 is gear ratio. "Tons" is slang for one ton differentials. Most commonly a Dana 60 front and a 14 bolt full floating rear.
EFI is electronic fuel injection.
Hydro-assist is hydraulic assisted steering, an aftermarket kit which helps you steer no matter what when off road.
Cage, is Roll Cage
Fuel cell is an aftermarket gas tank.
