Coil bracket? Best place to mount?

Sitting here in Ga waiting on the big snow storm! Remember 1-3" is big for us! I'm trying to find a Coil bracket for my 72. I know on my Jeep. (Sorry I know that is a dirty word) BUt it mounts to the intake. I need one like that for my Blazer. I'm running an external coil to save on space in my dizzy. I need to move it from my fire wall. Any ideas? And I have always been told not to mount the coil on its side... Becouse of the oil inside. Is this true and does anyone have any input.

The coils mounted the same way back in 72. Here's one that's even chrome:

My blaster 2 is mounted on its side, on the back of my edelbrock intake (not sure if same on the factory ones), there are two threaded bosses in front of and to the left of the distributor. Mine is mounted on those 2 bosses using this kind of bracket http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MSD-8213/
