coil on a 90 K5

My neighbor gave me an accel coil that he said was on his 89 K5. It looks like it will hook up fine but doesn't look like it bolts up. Probably will need to be mounted to the firewall. Is there a difference between 89 and 90 and is it even worth messing with a coil "upgrade"?

i would call napa and have them check. you be suprised what could be different
