Coil spring conversion progress pictures

alrighty, here's the deal... I'm probably not going to offer this as a kit for many reasons. BUT, i do plan on offering a step by step guide on how to build your own four link just about identical to mine. I will include auto cad and real life pictures of every step (iff possible) and offer advice here in the forum as well. No guess work, but you have to do some of the fab work. I also will be offering help on the fab if you don't want to do it all yourself. Any brackets you might need made, axle bridges, coil buckets etc can be bought through me, just let me know what you want. I will also offer the suspension links but there are SOOOOO many parts that offering a kit could take me forever to put together. Prices upon request and look forward to the instructions some time in the next couple of weeks...

here's the last detail...the boxed lower links...

well, if you do all the fab yourself you can probably get out of the who deal for around 600 bucks (not including shocks). Sometimes it's easier to have some stuf made for ya though (time is money) :D i've got to wheel the rig at least once before i start telling people how cool i am:haha: ! I drove it today and it was SMOOTH BABY, not a bump!!!!! can't wait to beat on it.

well as soon as you release the plans let me know. I got a guy that is eager to build some **** but he's never worked on a fullsize and wants a little guidance. Just let me know what you can when you can. Would love to have my truck on coilovers asap.

yeah I ditched that plan with the long linked radius arms. Might do it on the front though.

took the rig mobbin on some "city whoops", ya know, those "bumps" in residencial areas that are like speed bumps on crack. could take them at about 40 mph without even feelin it! Only got a little slow bouncing in the rear because i'm still runing 2.5" rancho leaf springs from before i was alive. I have my FINAL CHP TESTING this weekend so look for the write up next week. It should be in the center of gravity forum once it's done. Wish me luck:D

your holding out. lol j/k. I'm still debating on what to do with the '79. I either need to buy 4 new spring packs, a shackle flip, and some misc things and keep the leafs or just say **** it and go coilovers. I don't know which though.

well i'll tell you right now, price wise i did the four link including springs shocks materials etc for about the same as two custom leaf packs!!!!! Don't worry though i'm going to start writing it up pretty soon, maybe this afternoon or tomorrow. Had a LONG morning with my testing....

Jesse,

Well decided against leaf springs and bought some 14" Travel coilovers. Just waiting on rear link right up.

she's a comin. it will be posted in the "garage" forum, then moved to COG forum, i'll post up in here that i posted it...

hey jesse if you could pm the link dimensions and what not that would be awesome. I'm needing some link dimensions and I like your setup best. Let me know.

Mike
