cold alternator

i`m havin a problem with my alternator. i`ve gone throught to reman. alts and i`m still having the same problem. when the alternator is cold it makes a hissing/grinding type noise that the bearing usually makes when its gone. now i know this is not normal and i`ve never heard anything about it. anyone got any idea?

I have had that with newer remans, and yes it's not normal but they are using cheap stuff and I am just running them untill they go bad, if they go during the warranty time which for me is 3 years, then I just take it back to them.
