There is a reason why all that is pulled off, because he pulled that motor, took all that stuff off, put it on the new engine, and is trying to sell you an engine that is likely junk. Obviously, otherwise it would still be in the vehicle that it came out of. People don't pull perfectly good running engines out of newer vehicles because they don't like what color the block is painted, they pull them because there is something wrong with them.
As soon as I saw that it was missing all of that stuff I knew right away that it wasn't what I wanted to deal with.
He said it was a lifter noise, I was hoping he just didn't know he could replace the lifters, or didn't want to hassle with it. It was also at a "shop" in the ghetto, so that made me think it was pretty sketchy.
I'll probably just find a totaled truck and get everything I need from it.
