Cold rad cap?

I'm not sure if this is normal or not because I've been hypersensitive about my cooling system lately......

On my 6.2 diesel, after various amounts of driving, both city and highway, my rad cap is ALWAYS cool when I check it. The top rad hose and rad are hot, but the darn cap is always cool to the touch.

I would think that since the hoses are warm then you are ok. Check the top and bottem of the radiater to see if it is all warm. If not you may have a plugged radiator. What does your temp guage read?

The bottom hose, top hose, and rad are all the same temp when I feel them, and the temp gauge reads normal. I just thought it was wierd that the rad cap was cool, but I've never paid much attention to how warm it felt before.
