well guys i thought i liked the cold ... ends up my truck loves it even more than i do .. i can punch it from a dead stop and it will chirp the hell out of the tires ... not bad for a stock rebuilt 350 with 3.73 gears and 35 inch tires ehh?

Gotta love those open diffs.:D I can get a small chirp outta mine (87 tbi 355, rebuilt, fuel injection upgrades, headers, performer manifold, 37"s, 4.56's) but the detroit eliminates that real quick (at least in a straight line:D :D )

mines an 87 stock bore 350 but rebuilt 700 R4 with a 14 bsf open its pretty cool though man i love it ... but my reverse just went out lol i hate the 700 R4 second one ive messed up

Sounds like you have the wrong person rebuilding it :doah:

well i sorta run it hard see im 17 and you know how those 17 yr old got that odd heavy right foot lol espeacially in the mud lol id like to try a th-400 but im afraid my gas mileage will go to crud

Gas is cehaper than rebuilding a 700r4;)

lol this is true lol i dont know im sorta thinking bout getting a newer truck but i love my old blazer. i dont know why i love it so much lol its always breaking.

When I had my open diff in my truck, I could leave a long patch of rubber behind me. :D

With my 305/SM465/35"s/4.10s

But my loc-rite seriously limits the burn out.

well if i power brake it and run it to its rpm limit and let go i can leave a 20 to 30 ft mark lmao its great

I tried that, and I broke an axel shaft...

i thought i was gonna blow up my first rear end doing burnouts because of the gov lock instead it was in the mud then i had a 3.08 geared ten bolt with open diff and i did a few burn outs with it and it ended up breaking the keeper bolt letting the keeper pin slide out and eating up my pinion and i threw it in 4 wd to get home and the axles fell of lmao and then i got smart and a got a 14bsf lol id like to of gotten a ff but i couldnt afford new wheels as well

i swear when it comes to horsepower its the only time i ever pay attention to all this chemistry type crap lol my tranny is screwed over though i got no reverse and the tranny smells like brunt fluid and it only has like 5,000 miles on it

i'd almost bet your TV cable isnt adjusted properly.

edit: your profile says "stock drivetrain" and 35s. there's your problem. until you do something about the stock gears, you're not going to be able to keep a tranny in it. a large cooler is also in order.

i got the stock cooler and a large tube aftermarket cooler. but why would my TV cable have anything to do with my reverse? and another thing i need to change my description stuff cause it isnt a stock drivetrain still stock 3.73 gearing though and how do i change my signature.

a misadjusted TV cable will cause fluid pressure to be too low, and kill EVERYTHING, may start in reverse, may start in forward gears, i've seen it go both ways. TV cable adjustment is very critical in a 700R4, if its off, just by a notch, it can easily mean death to the trans.

well i just adjust it untill it quits banging into 2nd and why does it shift real hard with out the TV it runs out through the rpm range and takes for ever to shift... i thought it was supposed to lug the motor???
