Hi everybody, Mike here from southeast Idaho. Been lurking awhile, first post. I am collecting parts and ideas for putting together an 84 crew cab short box srw with dana 60's and a 12 valve cummins/4l80e drivetrain, with a 3 inch lift. The trans/tcase is in a 93 3500. The crew cab I got is a 2 wheel drive right now, been kicking around a few ideas on how to put it together. I want to keep the transfer case with the driver side drop so as to have plenty of room for the exhaust pipe on the pass side. I have another 80's chevy for the 4x4 parts so I should have most of the brackets I need to do the conversion, but I need to round up some late 80's to early 90's f-350 axles. Another thought I had was pulling the body off the 93 (extended cab long box) and putting the crew cab short box on the 93 frame. Anybody know anything about that swap? Would love to hear your suggestions. Also would like to see some pics of crew cabs with a 3 inch lift. My use for this is a daily driver/tow rig so I wont be doing a bunch of off road driving, just need the room for the family to head to the mountains with the 4 wheelers in tow. Also I was curious why some of the pics on here dont show up for me? Spent several days looking through the "How will my K5/truck look.." there are some nice rigs on here!
