Anyone running collector plates on the 70's chevy? Seams to be a good deal. Only problem in Washington is the thing about not being able to carry a load.
the collector plate is a plate that the truck would have used from the year it was made.
the old plates uses to have the year stamped in the plate. starting in the 60-70's was the use of tab stickers.
anyways in my state any vehicle over 30yrs can be registered as a collector vehicle. one needs to have collector plate on the vehicle. do a search on ebay.. these old plates from the 70's are bringing i big bucks.
so with a collector vehicle you get some perks with the state but also some limited use. would 4x4 events qualify as shows?
in jersey, it's 25 yrs, and they are QQ plates... there are supposed to be restrictions here.... only on road for shows, getting repaired, etc... but i dont think that is really enforced probably.. there are also mileage restrictions per yr...
