Hi!
Anybody can help me figure out a color code question for my Blazer K5 year 1988.
I have bought the year brochure and the paint chip for this year.
And the Blazer colors from brochure it doesn't appear in the Chevrolet&GM Truck exterior paint chips.
How is it possible? How I can get the color codes for the Blazer?
Thank you
Brg

There should be a RPO option sheet inside the glovebox, IF it is the original, it will list the OEM colors on your truck.
Your truck is 30 years old now, its entirely possible its been repainted...lift up the carpet, or behind a rear side panel, or the rear tailgate inside panel to see if the original color is present.

Hi and thanks for your fast reply.
Unfortunately RPO option sheet inside the glovebox is not there. The car has had the driver door repainted due a crash accident but matching the color by a previous owner.
The rest of the car is OEM color still.
The car plate inside engine front bar, where there is the color name it says "color: 535628/VYNCKIER but my blazer has 2 tones, so only one code??
Thank you

Dang, I completely missed the Spain part. LOL with that in mind, do you know if it's a US truck imported to Spain or if it was originally sold new outside the US? If outside the US then brochures for trucks sold here will likely be somewhat inaccurate. It's very common for non US vehicles to have options, colors, trim and even sheet metal different from in country vehicles.

Need to find a way to decode the VIN.

You can probably determine if it was a manufactured-for-the-US truck from the VIN. You might post the number here, or you can also decode it from

http://brochures.slosh.com/vindecoder.html

That won't give you the color code, but will at least tell you if it's a US-spec truck, or something locally produced. I know that the square bodies were produced in South America long after GM US stopped making them, and as mentioned, they had different sheet metal and options and everything.
