I know this is a Chevy site but I wanted to share with you our project we have going on.

Every year the Colorado Association Of 4wd Clubs builds a raffle vehicle. They have been doing this for the last 30 years. The proceeds are divided up as follows:
40% goes to the Land Use Fund (to keep our trails open and clean)
40% goes to next years Raffle Build (so we can do it all over again)
10% goes to the Promotion Fund (to promote ohv use)
10% goes to a Scholarship fund

My club Rock Solid Offroad Club, Inc. is building the 2011 rig. A 1973 Ford Bronco. We wanted something a little different from all of the Jeeps that are built. Jeeps are easy so they are the main vehicle that is built for the raffle.

I have 2 more posts and I can start getting to the good stuff. I guess it keeps the spam down.

The 2010 build is being done by Ute Pass Iron Goats out of Woodland Park, Colorado. It is a 1998 Jeep Cherokee with a 5" lift and 33" tires. It has lots of great parts on it and tickets are available now. For more information on their build you can go to hightrails.org

Okay just one more post and I can post URL's and show you what I am here for. We where talking with Phill from MSD Ignition today and he said that I should come here to Colorado K5 and show everyone what we have going on. Thanks Phill!

Hey good to see you guys on here! I have bought raffle tickets in the past, great way to get some money back into keeping our trails open! Thanks for all you guys do to help out :thumb: I will definitely be buying a couple books this year!

I know it's not a Blazer but hey its gonna be a great rig build none the less and I think it's a great way to help keep the trails open and support our favorite pastime.

I'll do everything I can to make sure MSD donates to this project to support the cause as well. Good luck Rock Solid Offroad.

Heck maybe someone here will win the Bronco...

Thanks for the support Phil.

Right now I am waiting to find out if I get the Howell system or the Edelbrock carb. The marketing guy from Howell is on vacation right now for 2 weeks. Edelbrock wants everything to go through the snail mail for donations so that could take a while.

On a good note I talked with Spidertrax today and they are shipping out the 9" housing. The TrueHi9 should be ready around the 20'th of this month and Ballistic Fabrication is going to help us out with some 9" axle semi-float flanges.

sounds like a nice build and its a great idea. keep posting updates as you get it done.
can you post pics and specs of the past years rigs?

If you go to hightrails.org and click on raffle vehicles you can view the different rigs going back 18 years. The Colorado Association has built a Raffle Vehicle every year for close to 30 years. When I was out in Moab for Easter Jeep Safari last week I meet the Gentelman that won in 1993. He still has it and he blew the motor in it the day before I met him. He has also rolled it on the Z Turn on Moab Rim. He was telling me that alot of people took picture of it upside down because his license plate reads Lucky1, or something close to that.
