Back Together

We have a little more to do tomorrow before we take it up to Nemesis on monday. We need to cut a larger hole in the floor for the tripple sticks and get some longer bolts for the body lift.
We installed the starter from BC Broncos, new body mounts from Daystar, body lift from M.O.R.E., used our Stage 8 locking header bolts, used lots of new bolts from Fastenal and made our bracing from the steel donated by Penrose Steel.
I'm ready to go back to my real job now so I can relax a little.

So we now have it back down with us and got to work on it right away. Pulled the cage out and pulled the body off.

We have to build a crossmember for the transmission and transfer cases and then we will pull every thing off of the frame too.

Loaded up on the trailer to start the body work!!

Its getting closer.

I wanted to post up here again and let everyone know how things are going. We are a little behind schedule but I guess that was kind of expected with as indepth as we are going.

Thursday we are going to start on the body work and another half of us are going to work on the rear suspension and a crossmember. Still have some work to do yet but its starting to take shape.

I am trying to post up the current donations list but I am having a hard time getting it to paste right. Its a large list and I don't feel like typing it out all over again.

Lookin good Justin. Keep up the great work and keep the updates coming.

Maybe next year a Blazer build will be in the works...

By the way, where's the updated link to purchace tickets?

Tickets wont be ready until Feb. We get our raffle liscense for 2011 in Jan. and take some pictures of it and get the tickets printed out, so it will be around Feb. before we get our tickets in. I'll then be sure to post up a link for you. Until then you can check out some of the other builds on hightrails.org.

Wow! Missed this thread. We'll jump on board if there is anything else you need.

Oh how I would have loved to have seen this earlier today. I spent my day finding just what you have. Your Fabricators Set and your Tab 3 but in 1/4". I went to every 4x4 shop around today and finaly found a fab shop with a cnc plasma to cut us out some parts.

If you have something in mind that you would like to add let me know.

Your support would be greatly appreciated.

on a side note:
I was looking at your hydro assist cap a few weeks ago for my own build, I blew a hole in my durango steering box cap and was looking at replacing it with yours.

I'm sure we can find something that will suit your or perhaps a little custom CNC plasma action would suit you better.

Give me a call on Tuesday and we'll work it out.

Hydro caps are on the shelf ready to go! One of the few things left in stock after the Christmas melee.

I was a little busy today and forgot to call, I'll have to try tomorrow.

While doing some body work on the Bronco today we found out we are going to need a Heater Core. It should only be around $25 to $30 and I thought I would check and see if anyone wanted to donate one for the cause.

Thanks Phill

As far as bumpers go: The front is being built by Tomken right now, we have a Warn xd9000i that is going on it with a Master Pull winch line and some KC Lights. The rear bumper is going to be built by Battlement Fabrication, they are the ones that are also going to setup the Fuel Injection and the awesome MSD Ignition System :waytogo:

Once we get it back from there it will be going to Elite Audio Solutions for some tunes. We went by their shop this week to show them the Bronco and to let them get some ideas on what they wanted to do. They have some cool stuff!! Cant wait to see what they come up with.
