Colorado -- Truck Fest at Bandimere, Sun July 29

Not exactly a "trail", but this Sunday is the Cummins Rocky Mountain Truck Fest at Bandimere. Anybody else planning on going? I'll be racing my Dodge, it's a white sport and will probably have the gay-ass stock wheels & tires back on it.

Sometimes tough-truck, sometimes a monster truck or two. Always drag racing. They have classes for 2wd and 4wd, plus big trucks (delivery and dump classes). Its pretty funny to watch the cement mixers and semi tractors race. Sometimes they race the beer trucks with trailers. They also have burn out contests, a couple years ago there was a semi tractor that did a 1/4 mile long burn out.

I don't think so about the swap meet.

I just put the old tires/wheels back on the truck (245/75R16s, I usually run 255/85s). The good news is it will spin the tires into 4th now, the bad news is the axle wrap going into 3rd is horrendus. Will have to try lowering the pressure.

I went a few years ago and spent 15 min watching a cement mixer race a garbage truck in the quarter mile, right after the green light I went to the bathroom, then went and bought a beer, came back and they were about have way down the track.

Was real hot, 95* most of the day, got up to around 98*. The heat was killing everyone, traction way good but hard to get the boost. Best time was a 16.9, the 5 speed kills me (can't build up boost on the starting line like an auto). Got knocked out in the 2nd round of eliminations. Had a good time, lots of cool trucks.

Took my family to this and had a GREAT time!! It was hot, took lots of ice and water along for the day!!
