Colorado - Vehicle Replacement Program Survey

Ummm, that thing is almost worded in Ebonics??
Yes or no questions are worded

"Yes"
"Nope"

?????

And this
"I don't need no financial help"
And this
"Would you be more interested in buying or renting an electric vehicle?

To buy

Rent

neither of us <- ??????

I'm not sure"

.....neither of us????

Who the hell wrote this, a forth grader??
@ramack Where did you find this?
I've known this state is on the fast track to Cali-fornication for some time but if this is an actual government survey I want some of my tax money back because I'm not getting what I paid for.

Funny they want to replace vehicles when most of the state doesn't even have emissions testing.

What a load of shit....f'n libbies just don't stop.

And they were just voted back into office too...
I know for a fact with them closing down coal-fired power stations and not replacing them with anything other than solar and wind, we are in for a major problem. They want electric vehicles but seem to forget how the hell they get power to run.

The other idiocracy is let's put low-income folks into EVs. Sure they don't have to pay for gasoline, but what happens when the battery takes a dump 4-5 years down the road and it's out of warranty? Is the state going to subsidize the repairs too? Are they paying the higher electricity bill for them too?

This idea is utter bullshit on so many levels. I'm all for a free market. If folks want to move to an EV, fine. But don't mandate me into getting something I don't want. And I sure as hell don't want my tax dollars going to subsidizing a car low-income folks are going to struggle to be able to repair when it breaks.

I'll be happily driving around my gas powered dinosaur when the ev's are stuck during a major black out due to high electrical demand.

This is the first I’ve seen them trying to do something about the used car market. Sure they can enforce new cars to not be sold (how I don’t know but they are) but they know they can’t outright eliminate used cars. The backlash would be huge. But they can bribe you to give yours up. And they don’t care about the repair costs of the batteries. They just care about getting you in an EV because that’s what their donors are paying them to do.

I loved Colorado when we were there on the way to BB, beautiful state, but if I were @Stephen or @Hogback Fabrication id be strongly considering moving my business (that’s supported by gas powered vehicles) to a neighboring state.

They always cater to the (income based) folks because dangle a new ev in front of them and of course they’ll say yes, then the dems can say look at the amazing job we did helping low income people and the environment.

Beginning Jan 2022, Colorado adopted and enforced stricter emissions standards for smog tests. They are now the same limits as California. That's the first step(IHMO) of getting older vehicles off the road.

I'm not a CO resident but that contains some misinformation. EV's produce MORE particulate pollution, not less. Recent studies show the generally heavier vehicles cause particulate matter to come off in greater quantities from the tires and brakes than dino powered vehicle equivalents.

Wouldn't be bad to put that in their survey.

I thought that for the most part EVs relied heavily on regenerative braking.

Ask in the survey whether they prefer a vehicle with a large environmental impact to manufacture, can't be recycled and requires new power plants built near their home...or if they are OK with regular cars.
