colour scheme....

just kind of planning for the future in a way... my plans are black for all the cage, sliders, bumpers, and armor. Then olive drab for the body, and some black camo spots all over. Then black bedliner... black axles, whatever color the engine comes as... then the tranny/doubler and tcase I was thinking maybe chevy orange for all the metal parts...so I have a question... do you think that would look okay? After a while the mud will cover it up, but when kennyw drops all the parts off, I have plenty time to clean and paint it if I want. Any other color suggestions? I don't want just plain old oil stain/dirt color /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
 
Sounds good brother, except I would skip the orange paint on the drivetrain parts.

flat black body and the other stuff tan /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif or the other way around would work too. or dark blue body and your other stuff tan /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

I was going to have flat black body, but someone said all the trucks are like that, so thats why I wanted something different with the camo.

I liked you original idea. The drab colors with the orange mixed to just pop. There's a truck I've seen on this site that has super bright green roll cage and other parts. I think it looks sharp!
 
Yeah that guy was in petersons magazine once, very nice truck.

I am kind of debating to use tan for drivetrain and rollcage etc, OR black for rollcage and etc, and drivetrain orange... im not sure /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
 
If you're going to use rattle can, then it is pretty easy to change the color.
 
Yeah, but the orange/olive/tan colors I will have to order. Here all they have is red, blue, grey, and some other crap.
I'll probably just go with tan, if I don't like it, I will change it /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
 
Okay I have decided that I will go with tan (like someone suggested) and if I don't like it I can always re-paint it a different color. It goes like this:
Body-olive and black camo
drivetrain (minus axles, driveshaft and engine) tan
bumpers, cage, sliders, etc-tan

I talked to mr. watson (his jimmy has tan on cage etc) and he told me what tan he had. So now I am left with what olive color to get. I have to order off the internet because there are no stores here with any good paint.
So does anyone know a good olive drab (rattle can) spray paint, and have a website? Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif
