Alright so I need some help identifying some of the wires from my column.

It's a 1985 column...

This column has cruise control and was for an automatic.

I have two plugs. One is obviously the turn signals and what not. The other plug has 7 wires and plugged into that heatsink box...I think they call that a wiper timer.

I need to get my 12 volt source and my ignition wire hooked up. I've tried a few troubleshooting things like resistance checks....I would figure that if you ground on the steering wheel mount surface and check the wires with the key to the start position it should report back as having a resistance instead of OL.

So here's the wires I'm working with below...

So you are wanting to know which wire does what function?

I know that is the plug for the wipers. If you have the delay wiper switch, and it had the delay box plugged in, then the factory harness will connect regardless of if the truck originally had delay wipers.
Your washer pump control is also in that plug.
If you need more specific information, I would have to find a manual.

You're right! I found that this thing has a switch off the key. I also found some plugs that work with the ignition area.

It's odd that there is two red wires though...

Ah crap,,,,
I forgot, you have a '73. So wrong plug.
I had it in my head that you were doing a replacement harness. Do you have the plug to hook to the column?
I may still have one here.
I don't know if I can tell you quickly how to mesh the 2 together. I know it can be done, I would just be slow to tell you.

I am fairly confident that I have a schematic for the '85, I don't believe that I do for the early truck.

Two red wires , one is from the battery and the other is for accessories that work with the key on. It would go back to the fuse panel as well as the hot wire in.
