Another thing I though about was this:
qProbably alot of us come pretty much straight to this board, ocasionnaly checking new articles or review or what not. But we need to actually use the rest of the site more and click to sponors site links from the review etc. That way the other sites will see all this trafiic being generated by CK5 and think advertising there would be great. Also tell all your suppliers whether they ask or not that you heard about them at coloradok5.com I know i do and count me in. The check is in the mail. I like many others really enjoy this site and learn greatly from it even us strangers . I got a lot to learn and this is where i do.

I am going to repeat myself a little here. I left a post on a previous message about how much I enjoy the site. This is a site that has so many people, friendly helpful people on it, that I cannot put it into words. Folks, Steve has provided a place here where much knowledge has been gained by all involved. If it takes a little scratch to keep this site going so we can learn more from each other, lets send Steve a little tuition. I have never been on another site that had so many knoledgable(sp?) folks on it!! Best of all, these folks are willing to share their expertise, shortcuts, and just good old common sense about things with each other. Let's chip in and make the boat float for all of us! Steve, my tuition check is in the mail!!

I'm needing to get/renew a couple of magazine subscriptions and saw that there is a "Newstand" link off the main page. I go there and see both of the mags that I am looking at getting (Four Wheeler and 4Wheel and off-road). Would Steve get any kickback from that if I order my subscriptions there? If so, I'll do it there instead of from the cards in the magazines.

I have noticed there are a LOT of old timers on this board that I'm NOT seeing any responses from. come on people pull out those check books!!

another thing to keep in mind is this is NOT a one time thing. we need to keep sending $$$ every month until Steve tells up to stop.

This site is too awesome, and I don't want to see CK5's existence jeopardized because we're all to cheap to pitch in and support our habbit!!!

Many people who contribute to ck5 do not choose to "advertise" their actions in posts such as this. Perhaps those "LOT of old timers on this board" that you're "NOT seeing any response from" have chosen to contribute silently. Or perhaps they've found another way in which they can contribute. Or perhaps they have sent money previously when times were good for them and now times are not so good and they are holding out till they can spare the money to send. Sometimes not "pitching in" monetarily is not a matter of being cheap, but a matter of circumstance. I don't mean to pick a fight or flame or anything along those lines, just to say my piece.
