One reason why I want to live to be 120 years old is to see what kind of new technology develops. In this case, it looks like a Dutch collectible scale vehicle company has utilized the bunches of photos at this old website sales page for Chalet #1683 to 3D-recreate it in miniature as a 1:43 scale die cast collectible, page link here, right down to the faded and incomplete peeled off camper stripes (they're supposed to be full diagonals that wrap forward to the truck in the lower section). They say it is an early prototype version, so I chimed in at their corresponding Facebook page for it with suggestions on what to correct, and I emailed them with the same message. Hopefully, they'll get it looking more like what came straight out of the factory into dealership showrooms.

Yes I did, no word back, but it is only just the weekend, where they might only be in Mon-Fri. I'm looking forward to hearing how they accomplished the prototype, because it may mean that (for a much bigger price, no doubt) a "one of one" production run of anybody's vehicle can be replicated as a diecast collectible exactly the way the full size vehicle appears.
