Anyone know where the common roof leaks are on a 78 Blazer? I keep getting puddles blow the peddles / glove box when it rains. Tried sitting inside when it was raining, but cant seem to find where its coming from, because it has new carpeting in place. Are they known for windshield leaks or something?

I wouldn't say "known for" but yes the windshield can leak. With the old style gaskets there is no sealant so if the rubber dries out and cracks or there is a rust issue there is nothing to stop water.

A few places it can leak. First is the corners of the windshield frame rusting out. Water gets trapped in there. Second, is the cowl getting g plugged up with debris not letting the water drain out and leaking through the holes in the kick panel. Third would be a leaking heater core, but you should be able to smell that and it would only be on the passenger side.

Here’s what happens when water gets behind the gasket and is trapped there. Best repair would have been to weld new metal in but the gasket was just replaced and urethane sealant under the entire gasket where it meets the frame was used (not my truck). So far it held up to the last major storm of the season.
