My engine is a brand new crate motor, to run this cam would i need to also change valve springs, The engine is a stock10067353 engine....thanks for any help. Daily use only, driving to work, and a occasional trailer pull.

It is always good practice to use the recommended valve springs when doing a cam swap. Too little spring pressure and you flaot the valves, too much spring pressure and you wipe out a cam and lifters. Remember to replace the lifters at the same time as the cam otherwise you will wipe out both the cam and lifters.

If the engine is BRAND NEW and NEVER ran then you can use the lifters with the new cam.

Cams do not come with lifters UNLESS you buy a cam and lifter kit.

I guees I've always bought the cam/lifter kit then. I've never thought about buying just the cam by itself, mainly because you have to replace the lifters...unless it's roller.

cams

They didnt offer them as a kit for the computer controlled cam, stilled tossed up about the valve springs. by what i have read on here
