Hello everyone,
I recently bought a 91 k5 blazer for very cheap. The previous owner changed the intake and turned the motor into a carbed motor. I want to swap back to TBI but I need to know which year vehicles will have the parts I need. The big issue is the previous owner hacked up the wiring harness. I would like to find one out of an old truck if that is possible? Any suggestions
Thanks -Travis

Your wiring harness should be the same for 87-91 TBI Blazers/suburbans and you could pull a TBI setup from 87-through 91s as well.

Thank you for the quick reply. Whats the chances that one of those U-Pick-A-Part salvage yards will have any of this vehicles on the property?

Depends what area of the country you are in. Around here if you find anything Squarebody in the junkyard, you better call the Guinness world record people... AKA: you don't find k5's, Squarebody burbs or hardly k10 and c10 pickups. Though I have found a few Squarebody pickups in the pull a part near me, but never a blazer or burb. Your best bet is to troll Craigslist and find someone parting a blazer out, then go snag what you need.

You wouldn't say that if you seen what it looks like under the hood and in the cab. She currently isn't running. The fuel tank is out, the guy had a boat gas tank in the back running this thing for some reason. I think because he switched it to carb and couldn't figure out how to use the internal fuel pump. Not sure. This is my first build... ever.

Looks clean rust wise, doesn't look to bad if all you have to do if swap back to TBI and fix the fuel system.

I hate when ppl do that. Usually why I just stick to carbed trucks. Can build a new harness pretty easily if need be, but I had an 88 that was TBI and I miss that thing...

Hey 76k5blazerr, you said if I found a square body burb or blazer at a pick and pull yard to take a picture. well here it is. 1990 k5. It's been rip shagged. No harness or throttle body. but the top is in great shape with seat belts built in.
