I have been looking to get new bumpstops as my factory ones are way to short. The shock will bottom out 3in before my springplate contacts my factory stop. So Im am in the process of drawing out my new extensions and just thought of something. Im not sure which bumpstop I will buy from yalls, but was wondering if you know a roundabout guess on how tall each is when fully compressed. I want the stops to stop the axle about an inch before the shock bottoms out, and its hard for me to judge how far they will collapse before being completely totally collapsed. Thanks in advance.

They should have dimensions, and they seem to come in the 2",3",and 4" travel if your talking air bumps.

Timbrens would be a good idea if not air bumps.

Not the air bumps, they also sell polyurethane bumps as well. If im not mistaken, as I cant look at their site as well at the same time, mostly out of laziness, the bumps fully extended length is I think 3 to 4 inches. I was just wondering how far the poly ones collapse when the axle contacts them before they are done. I need the collapse length to make my drop brackets for the bumps. If Im wrong the shock will bottom out before the bumps either make contact or they themselves bottom out, and destroying my new RS90xxs and I wont be a happy camper, as I love them.

I dont need airbumps, I mean they would be great, but for the money the poly ones will be fine for what I do.

Get the timbren rubber ones. They are far better than the polly "energy suspension" type ones. $120 for 4 of them. Contact 76zimmer for info on them. He has mounting pics and all you would need. :thumb:

I did have to make custom mounts, and also had to figure out suspension compression and set the bumps accordingly. The particular bumps I used compressed to about 1/2 of unloaded height, so with that in mind I set them to leave about 1" of travel left on the shocks.

here is a video of how they work:

And ive rode in daves blazer, and we got some decent air time, and it wasnt even a harsh landing at all.:thumb:

Well that should work nicely, mine doesnt ride all that bad, but now that I have done the longer travel front shocks, and about to do it to the rear, I need some stops to now blow the a$$hole out of these new shocks. I have never used bumps before, the fenders always served that purpose. :haha:
