Complete 14 Bolt Brake Conversion Kit!

they sure are perdy...id buy one if i needed one today... to me a rear disc conversion is the 1 first thing i would do on any new build! oh plus a detroit.. lol..

i still have my kit from the old and gone obsolete azz-kickin kit

Thanks guys!

Yes I agree that a disc swap is a critical first step. It is so much lighter weight, parts are easier to service, and the stopping power difference is tremendous!

years ago I did 1ton swap and hydro boost with 1ton master .

ditched the stock proportion valve . did a tee for the front and a willwood adjustable for the rear .

did a few test runs and dialed it in were I liked it . lets just say WOW !!!!

now they sell these . almost oe bolt in but adjustable function and brake light switch built in . http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wil-260-11179/overview/

I'd love to do this swap, but yeah, the e-brake thing really worries me. I need one.

I have one and it dont hold my 6,000lb truck still. it is there for inspection purposes ONLY. if I NEEDED a true brake id setup a line lock and I understand that would only be used when the truck is ON or the batteries could die.

I totally understand the need for an e-brake, inspections are a big reason, but it is nice to have lots of other times. The problem is that the El-Dorado calipers are hard to find in the quantities we would need, and hooking up the pull cable can be a PITA.

However with the common need in mind, we did make sure that our caliper brackets WILL FIT the El Dorado calipers (I believe the earlier generation) with a 7.05" mounting width, so that you can just buy the brackets from us, find the calipers used or re-manned and make it happen. We've got the basic kit for those who don't need it and/or are on a tight budget but really need the extra stopping power.

Where did you mount that adjustable prop valve? And yes dealing with a parking brake is something that needs to happen. I have heard the caddy calipers are a pita and not very reliable...

I would track down the original non-adjustable and replace it.
