It pains me to write this but I’ve been presented with the opportunity to build my dream truck so this must go.
1991 K5 Blazer w/ 2003 8.1. 4L85E, and passenger drop 241C w/ SYE.
Hydro assist steering. Crossover + high steer
6” BDS lift springs front w/ FUSH hangers
4” shackle flip rear.
14B rear 5.13 w/ Detroit locker
D60 front with 4.10 (comes with 5.13 gears + install kit)
37” Procomp MT2 xtreme tires on procomp wheels.
Warn winch 8500lb w/ warn bumper
This has a stand alone wiring harness for the engine and a COMPUSHIFT transmission controller. I’ve run this down the highway at 85 no issues. Brand new radiator and ORD crossmember. Body is mainly bondo and rust. Not fixable IMHO. Frame is clean but has some cracks due to PO notching it for the exhaust. I’m offering a few options here.
A) 8.1 - t case and all related parts. Make me a $$ offer and I’ll drive it to your house. You strip everything you need for the swap. I keep the springs/hangers/1 ton axles, the hydro assist steering, tires wheels, and the core support + grill. You keep the frame/body for scrap or parts.
B) Partial or full trade for a single cab long bed with no engine or transmissions. If you have a roller CUCV then perhaps we can work out you keeping everything as we’ll be doing a 1 for 1 swap on 1 tons. Interested in running 6.2 powered trucks as well.
My end goal is to end up with a single cab long bed with 1 tons with or without drive train plus some cash on top. Open to all offers. Not sure what it’s all worth but I’m into it for 12-13 grand
If you want a 8.1 swap this is your chance to get EVERYTHING you need. As said, I’ll drive it to your house, pull my parts, and leave you to it.
