COMPLETE GARBAGE??????

What isn't total garbage?? First Echobit style shackle flip I've seen besides echobit(there have been people here asking about this recently). here

First flip kit I've seen where you don't have to move the hanger to adjust shackle angle

Not a bad price on Spring plates 14.68 each

Van kits that replace the junk fiberglass springs with real ones here

If you open a 4x4 shop and expect to make it you WILL have to build something you don't personally like. Someone spending that much money wants what they want and if you try real hard to persuade them otherwise or refuse to deal with them, say by by to your business or any GOOD word of mouth. Can't say those rides are anything I find worth my time but I'd like to own a shop someday and I'm sure I will have to build some stuff like that, though I will do my damndest to make them SAFE, which he has in my eyes. That block on the steering is stupid and yes not as safe as no block but it seems to be very well welded in place and I could see cracking a knuckle with the force of those tires but that happens much more often on a trail rig.

There is nothing wrong with tall springs and lifts. It's nice having a truck that actually looks lifted, not everyone likes cutting fenders to clear tires.

that guy is just down the road from the shop I am moving to.
we were roasting him a bit on a local board.
apparently on the local board that sucks horse cock he just ran to the censor and had the negative stuff deleted
not so lucky on the anything goes board
still would rather educate a soring shop then just ridicule them
I would love to find a spring shop that actually owns a 4x4 and therefore possesses at least some insight into what is desired in a spring

I saw Carrier get roasted on FIBC.com...oddly enough he didn't stick around to reply or defend himself. Piss poor customer service too from what I read, never mind the product(s) have sucked also.

A guy not into wheeling making custom 4x4 springs and stuff is about the same as getting a race worthy Big Block built at Wal-Mart.

If wal-mart did make big blocks, I'm sure it would be better quality and have better cusotmer service than that [darn].

Don't pick on walmart!!!!! there awesome

Why would I care if they mainly make stuff for show trucks or posers? If I can get good quality custom springs at a good price, they're OK in my book. Not everyone 'wheels their rigs. Who knows, maybe I'll be the first customer of their to 'wheel the pee-pee out of a set of springs. One more thing, big lift aren't always bad, not all of us crawl rocks, and we don't all want to have to remove our fenders to clear tall tires!

Drop a ton of cash on a truck lifting it, to render it nearly useless. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif I see them out there time to time without a front driveline... /forums/images/graemlins/screwy.gif

That dually is badass!

84jimmy, they are 38x11's probably.

[/ QUOTE ] I agree with you on alot of things Bobby, this not being one of them. That is pushing way too high and one sharp turn and that truck would tip in a minute.I think the truck Itself is cool, but the lift system totally sucks grandmas rotten eggs from 2 easters ago. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I love it! I love seeing trucks with some AIR between the tires and fenders for once....and you could slide sideways in that bad boy. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

[/ QUOTE ]It would look better with some 39.5x18 boggers than those 38" pizza cutters. I love the grille, headlight bezel, and chrome front bumper and guard.

Come on bobby....you know that truck is a POS with too much lift, may have some cool bumbpers and grill, but the suspention is lacking stabilty.24 inch lift springs arent my idea of a safe ride.I dunno /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

notice
- poor shackle angle
- pitman arm hiem mounting disaster
- no front driveshaft and no way one is going to work at that angle

those look about 12" springs

Agreed, I never even thought they were 24" springs at first. I looks way to small for that much lift, those are only 38's on there.

Here is a pic of a Super duty with 25" of lift, the SD looks MUCH taller.

You find the aftermarket grille with the stock headlight bezels appealing?

I may not know much about problems with driveshaft angles and 12" of lift, but when you can't even match the grille to the bezels like the factory did with PLASTIC, and yet spend 10's of thousands of dollars on a rig, (especially since most of it is for looks apparently) you are no better than the guys cruising around in 6 cylinder Oldsmobile Cutlass' that smoke like crazy, diesel on shutdown, with wheels worth easily 3 times what the car is.

I don't even think that bumper(or the front end) is straight. Don't get me started on the ugly gap between body and bumper.

Just because a building is 600 ft tall doesn't mean it's a work of art. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Don't get mad, a lot of these posts are personal opinion, and these are mine.

Dorian,

Yes, I DO find the billet grille with new replacement bezels appealing because it looks a whole lot better than a broken, faded plastic stock grille and faded, chipping stock bezels. That is exactly what I did, new billet grille with billet bowtie and new replacement bezels.

As far as the gap...that was irritating me also and someone needs to quit being lazy and pull out the welder, torch, and grinder and lift it 3" to correct the heigth from the body lift. Also what I had to do. Besides the gap and small tires I still like it! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

That 3" gap really kills me though, I couldn't stand mine...

I like your poser lights, do those make your rig go faster? /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Your rig looks good other than having small tires, but those lights look like complete crap and take away from the rig overall in my opinion.

niether of those grills look "billet" to me

what poser lights??? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif those look like the stock lights to me if your reffering to rjfs truck /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
