I've put it off as long as I can, I need to wire the truck.....and I mean wire everything. It's an trail only truck so there isn't that much to wire but I'm a complete newb on doing a whole wiring job.

I'll make a better list and try and come up with a simple diagram tonight. I've got a painless fuse block to use but I wanted to make my own harness for the truck and keep it clean and simple.

Based on this list any suggestions on what size wire should I get?
What I've thought of that I'll need so far is:

tail light
brake light
reverse light
rock lights on each fender
headlights (just the brights)
1 set of offroad lights
full gauges
push button start
windstar fans
winch
motor: alternator
starter
dual batteries with selector

Does it sound like I'm missing anything

I would say use 12-14 gauge for the lights and small stuff. The winch, starter and batteries I would use 0 guage or at least 4 gauge.

Be sure to put relays on all your toggle switches if your using any. Especially going to lights, it will keep hight volts away and going to your accessory so the toggle swith doesnt burn up. most light kits come with the relays, but I would put one on every toggle switch. Have fun. yeeehaa.
Re did mine last year with just a master swith and a push button start and a home made fuse block etc. 4 days later and what seemed like 40 miles of wire I was done. Use different colors. I only had red and black and when something goes wrong tracin through all the red wires sucks.
