After a few months of debating on the what/how/when, I have completed my rear disc brake conversion. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of the brackets. I opt'd for the non parking brake calipers as reading stories that they always needed adjustments. I got the kit from Lugnut 4x4 and paid $360 out the door.

However, I did have to grind down the rotors lip just a tad, as the plate on the axle wasn't siting right with the rotor.

While I was in there, I put in new Yukon bearings and a Mag-Hytec diff cover - filled with 5 quarts of Amsoil synth 75w-90. Here are some pictures. Brakes feel great! Enjoy!

Nice looking kit, I like the multi hole brackets so you can mount them however you want. Turned out really nice.

Start a build thread! It's all uphill from here :waytogo:

I am not 100% sure. I do eventually have to tackle some bad wiring. I have been able to create new circuits but now it's to a point where I just need to just dig in and replace the fuse block. Ugh. Not looking forward to it.

Was there any undesirable side effects from the swap that you dont like?

I believe there is going to be one. If ever I have to remove the rotors, for replacement or to get them turned, that means the axles have to come out. And since my rear is a semi floater, that's a chore. Regardless, I believe that shortcoming out weights by far the benefits of disc over drum.

Other than that, pretty satisfied with the brake feel/performance vs the stock drums?

Yes. Pedal feels great and Already had to apply a bit more pressure - as in a quick stop, it felt solid and straight. Previously I had what felt like weird pull from the rear and the pedal felt soft. Not anymore.

I am sure that when I tow I will have the same great results as well.

Well worth it.
