Compression test results

I would physically wire the choke open so there is NO CHANCE of it closing at all. If this doesn't work then i'll bet there is something wrong with the carb itself (plugged passage or something along those lines). Did this start doing this all of a sudden?

Well yes and no, this isn't my daily driver so at times it gets parked for upwards to a month. It was time for emissions and it was failing bad and sometime during the sniffer test on the rollers it would just die and act like the engine was flooded. When I poured rubbing alcohol in the tank the truck ran good like it always did.

I have tried driving with the choke unplugged and plugged in (electrical) But if my memory serves me correct the choke can still function without haveing +12v.

I thought maybe the fuel pressure could be messed up so I warrantied out my pump, granted that's not a proper test but it could have ruled one out. I need to find a way to test it's receiving the correct psi.

Once It started doing this I changed the plugs out and they very quickly went back to the recent condition of being black.
The electrical connection on the choke is for an electric heater. If you unplug it, the choke takes a lot longer to open. If you really have fuel spilling into the intake down to #8, the carb must be flooding or leaking. You can check the float level from the top with a little ruler/depth gauge (they can break or get old and sink). It might need a new needle/seat or something and sometimes Q-Jets just start leaking out of the bottom.
