I would physically wire the choke open so there is NO CHANCE of it closing at all. If this doesn't work then i'll bet there is something wrong with the carb itself (plugged passage or something along those lines). Did this start doing this all of a sudden?
Well yes and no, this isn't my daily driver so at times it gets parked for upwards to a month. It was time for emissions and it was failing bad and sometime during the sniffer test on the rollers it would just die and act like the engine was flooded. When I poured rubbing alcohol in the tank the truck ran good like it always did.
