Anyone use the Compushift 4L80E Transmission Controller?
Made in China though!
Thank you,

We have a couple cars running it in the shop. Actually just ordered another today. Didn't ever hear 'bout China, though. The shop in California that sells them is on Covid lockdown right now, and the owner is going in once a week a putting kits together. I don't think there is a better alk around option for the 4l80. I have also run the Tci/ comp unit and the GM unit from Pcs(?). One of those was crap and one is overkill.
TPS
Speedo out
Ign ref
Ground
Tach input
Optionally 4wd, electronic shifter
Would that mean I need a CAN Bus Data Interface, for the Compushift to communicate with the Holley ECU?
Holley's Terminator XIt all depends on what your system has for outputs. The Holley sniper does not have a tps out, so you need to add a TPS. Higher grade efi systems will usually have a reference. When you get the kit they should configure it fir your application.

Thank you everyone, I appreciate all your responses. When I have a problem or need advise, I don't go here in Hawaii, I go wright here to CK5.com, you guys know your (SHET!) I mean stuff!
Greg Ducato, building my PTP4L80ESX, 32 spine NP241 with VSS, Compushift & JB Conversions SYE Kit. Can't Wait for it to come!
But know I'm going to have to address my speedometer which is currently mechanical driven.
Thanks All,
Ed

https://ck5.com/forums/threads/plow...-6-shifter-levers.309865/page-10#post-3763928his current setup is a cable speedo . if he goes 4l80-e and 241 with electric speedo in the rear @ tcase he wont be able to feed his cable speedo anymore . unless he can wire the compushift for 2wd duty and also IF greg builds the 4l80-e with the 2nd tone ring inside for the rear 2wd position of the sensor .Not trying to read like a commercial for Compushift. It doesn’t need an rpm or mph input to work. It gives you a mph signal to tap into if you want it though.
So, you can keep a mechanical speedometer if you want. Part of the initial programming of the unit is putting in your gear ratio, vehicle weight, tire size and such. That makes the speed read out very accurate and adjustable.
