computer chip Q's

im saving up my nickles for a new engine. at the moment but i got a good deal on an intake/cam/rollers for my 90' tbi 350 i was wondering if i could just mount all this stuff and not have to worry about the chip, or do i have to get it replaced in order for this stuff to function properly. or can i by one of those reprogrammers? would that work? any pros or cons??

programmers dont work with these old computers. if the cam is pretty tame it should work with the stock chip. what are the specs? you need to make sure its a TBI friendly cam.

you should also get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator for the TBI, bump the pressure up to compensate for the increase in airflow.
