computer question.

Sure. I've used the APU1 on my dads '747 truck. Somewhat of a pain to get it to connect, took some playing around with definition files and what not, but once that was done, easy.

You have it set up so you can hook the cable up to the ECM directly?

I did purchase the g2 adapter but didn't want to solder anything in until I made sure it would work with my set up.

Yup, sure will!

I love my AutoProm! It's really not hard to use, just have to get used to the routine.

In TunerPro RT go to Tools, Preferences, Data Aqc and choose AutoPro, Then Detect Hardware at Startup and save. Close TP and have your AutoProm plugged in and when you open TP it should find it automatically.

Red strip on ribbon cable goes to side of socket where the notch is on chip. Both switches in, no need for 10K on this ECM. Open the bin file and change Mask ID to "AA" to disable checksum because your making changes while running. Upload bin to emulator, verify! If it fails to verify? Upload again and verify, then emulate and turn Key On. Check engine light should come on, blink once and stay on till engine is started then go out.

When you make a change you need to save or in some Parameters, like tables "Commit Changes".
