So it looks like its gonna based on that Camaro concept . Probably a Chevy engine too .

looks like someone just photochopped the camaro concept. I'm pretty certain its been stated that if the Camaro comes back, the Firechicken will not.

your right they did say there would be no firebird but i just heard recentley that they might be killing ff the GTO already, if they do then i could see the firebird comkeing back maybe not the same time as the camaro they will probably wait to see how it sells but i think theres a chance.
what they SHOULD do is have the gto, AND the firebird, and with the solstice pontiac would have a hell of a line up.

they are getting rid of the platform the GTO is on. That is the problem for the new Camaro as well. It was suppossed to be released on the same platform and well, as of right now the platform is going away so who knows...

CTS based GTO am i a genius or what, make the gto on the cts platform with a similar price to what it cost now of corse, and make a new platfor for the camaro and more importantly the firebird. everybody wins the gto is still here and would be great and the f-body is back.

I dont think GM will ever put anything else on the CTS platform.... Having one car that will blow the doors off a Vette is bad enough.
If Camaros and Birds were also CTS based. Why would any one buy a Vette?

no the camaro and firebird would not be cts based, just the gto. it doesnt have to be the cts specifically but some kind of platform that fits what a gto should be. the camaro and firebird would/ should be a whole new car.
